Poynter Hall
  • This is the first building that was completed on campus in 1913.
  • Originally named the North Laboratory.
  • Re-named Poynter Hall in 1970 in memory of the late Dr. Charles W.M. ​Poynter, who served as dean of the College of Medicine from 1930 ​through 1946.
  • The building was renovated and reopened in October 2012 and is the ​home of the Department of Psychiatry.
  • Budget for the remodeling project was $9.1 million dollars with LB 605 ​funds.
  • Remodel included a new entry on 42nd Street.
