The Hixson Lied Center for Clinical Excellence and Clarkson Tower
  • The Hixson-Lied Center was constructed to ​physically connect Clarkson Hospital and the ​University of Nebraska Medical Center tower.


  • The Hixson-Lied opened in 2005 and cost $56.5 ​million.


  • The building was named for the Lied Foundation ​Trust and trustee Christina M. Hixson.


  • Level one houses the Emergency Department.


  • Level two houses radiology and surgical ​operating rooms.


  • Level three houses a garden terrace.


  • Level four houses the Neonatal Intensive Care ​Unit (NICU).
