The Lied Transplant Center

Construction began in 1996 with completion in 1998.

  • The Lied Transplant Center sits on the site where Conkling Hall once stood.
  • The building features 44 patient care suites for bone marrow and solid organ transplant patients and 44 hotel rooms.
  • An innovative healthcare delivery system, cooperative care, allows family and friends to provide the patient's most basic care needs in a more “home-like” environment supported by a multi-disciplinary staff of specialists.
  • 14-level, 259,000-square-foot building.
  • No state tax dollars were used in the construction of this building, as several large donations provided the funding.
  • The largest donation of $15 million was made by the Lied Foundation.
