Coming Soon Infectious Diseases Air Transport Training Facility

A negatively pressurized conex, similar to the one pictured ​above, will be on-site for training at the new facility.

  • Will be a new free-standing building on an existing UNMC ​parking lot on the south edge of the Omaha campus.


  • Is being developed in partnership with the U.S. Department of ​Defense.


  • The up to $20 million facility will establish biocontainment ​patient transport training to safely and effectively care for ​patients with high-consequence infectious diseases.


  • Will build on UNMC’s existing partnership with the Air Force ​Center for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills ​Omaha (C-STARS) in planning, exercising, and responding to​ high-consequence infectious disease events.​
